How It Works

After application, Fluridone disperses throughout the water and is absorbed by susceptible aquatic plants through their leaves, stems, and roots. The herbicide gradually interrupts essential plant growth processes, causing weeds to decline slowly over several weeks while minimizing sudden oxygen depletion that can occur with rapid vegetation die-off.

For optimum performance, maintain the recommended herbicide concentration for 7–10 days or longer as directed on the product label. Significant dilution from water exchange or runoff may reduce treatment effectiveness.
